Science Year 3 Aman (PdPR 2/12/2020)

Assalamualaikum.

Topic : SOLAR SYSTEM

______________________________________________________________

SUBTOPIC 1 :  Members of Solar System

__________________________________________________________________________

Watch the video about members of Solar System πŸ‘‡ and try to understand

From the video, we understand that members or Solar System are ;

The Sun

8 planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus dan Neptune)

Asteroid

Meteroid

Comet

Natural Satellite (The Moon)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUBTOPIC 2:  Temperature of Planets

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watch the video about temperature of planets πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡and try to understand.

The closer a planet to the Sun, the temperature of the planet is higher.

The farther a planet from the Sun,  the temperature is lower.

Do you still remember the arrangement of planets in Solar System?

MERCURY

VENUS

EARTH

MARS

JUPITER

SATURN

URANUS

NEPTUNE

For example, the temperature of planet MERCURY is higher than the temperature of URANUS because MERCURY is closer to the Sun.

But!!! VENUS is the planet with the HIGHEST temperature because of its thick atmosphere which allows heat to be trapped.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUBTOPIC 3: Orbit of Planets

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watch the video about orbit of planets πŸ‘‡

The closer a planet to the Sun, the orbit is smaller and the planet took shorter time to revolve around the Sun.

For example, the orbit of MERCURY is smaller than the orbit of EARTH. This is because MERCURY is closer to the Sun.

MERCURY also took shorter time to revolve around the Sun.

Answer the quiz to test your understanding.
